ON FIJI TIME

Where to stay
The Coral Coast on the South West coast of Viti Levu was a highlight, we hired a car and drove from Nadi. It’s a beautiful and diverse stretch of coast, calm water, white beaches, beautiful tropical forest, and local villages along the way. I would also recommend staying on one of the many islands for a unique experience.

What to do
Snorkelling is a must do in Fiji with clear warm water, beautiful coral and colourful sea life! I would also recommend visiting a local village and one of the many beautiful waterfalls. For the surfers – if the swell is right, there are some great reef breaks along the coast and of course the famous Cloud Break for truly world class waves, a great experience for spectators like me too.

What to eat
Meals were fresh and simple in Fiji. We were lucky enough to have fresh caught fish with rice, and some great curries. A highlight was the incredible locally grown tropical fruits. Papaya and mango like I have never tasted before. A fresh coconut is a must too!

Travel tip
Be prepared to hear the phrase “Fiji Time” if you’re travelling in Fiji. Things might run a bit behind schedule, but it just adds to the relaxed and happy atmosphere. It was nice to slow down.

Suitcase essentials
My towelling bikini, hat, sunscreen, and a good novel were must haves!

Favourite pieces from Resort 23
The Butter Towelling swim and the Butter and Stone Stripe Pant are two faves from this collection. The fabrications are beautiful and soft. The Husk textured cotton dress is also a winner - super versatile and comfy.
