SPRING 23

Inspired by the practice of ancient bathhouses - a time of rest, rejuvenation, reflection. So begins the premise of Zulu & Zephyrs Fall 23 collection. Looking to this practice and its architecture in the ancient world, grandiose sparse buildings carved from stone with a sense of expanse. Angular lines contrasted with soft forms, stone walls wrapped in textural cloth. Drape versus stone. Movement versus rest.

Musing at the terrazzo tiling of New Mexico’s ancient architecture to create the key themes and prints for the collection. Accompanied by custom woven stripes and geometric checks - the contrast of angular lines and soft organic forms. Soft, calming hues woven throughout the collection with pops of colour accenting the palette. An infusion of craft, inspired by artisan woven tapestries and cloth full of life and colour. With strong elements of texture throughout - thick wools, washed cottons, woven gauze, matte finishes, this collection is a tactile sensation - evoking calmness and rest through touch.

Transcending time and taking these moments for cleansing, retrospection, pause and settle.
